Brian Keith Westlake
Age 49, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 18, 2018 at his home in the Village of Watkins Glen, NY.

Brian grew up in Odessa, Montour and Reading Center. He was a graduate of Watkins Glen High School, Class of 1986. He was a reluctant student, but an avid football and baseball player. Brian was known as a character and could bring anyone to a good laugh with his stories. He had great friends, he loved sports and enjoyed playing just about anything whenever the opportunity arose. He loved hunting with family and made that a priority for many years. He joined the Marine Corps in 1986 and served through 1990. He was a determined mechanic and received multiple accolades for his service to our Country including his Certificate of Commendation in 1988, as well as his Meritorious Mast in 1989. Brian lived in Maryland and West Virginia for a few years before returning to the Watkins Glen area. He loved being near his mom and spending time with his close friends, Dan, John and Rob.

Brian is survived by his son, Damion Westlake of Montour Falls, NY; step siblings, Robert Osborn (Tina Fesperman) of Oklahoma, Colleen Osborn of North Carolina, David (Julie) of Arizona, and their children Dan, Rob and Lisa Osborn; his niece and nephew, Olivia Hanlon of New York, and PJ Hanlon of New York. Brian’s additional family was the Paradiso’s. Dan, Heather and the entire family considered him one of their own.
He is predeceased by his mom, Barbara Osborn; step-father, Robert (Bob) Osborn; and brother, Phillip Hanlon. There will be a celebration of Brian’s life on Saturday, November 3rd from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the Odessa Fire House, located at 300 East Main Street, Odessa, NY 14867. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the “Jimmy Combs Memorial Scholarship Fund”, c/o Watkins Glen High School, 301 12th St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891.
