Diana (Evans) Clugstone
47, left this Earth on October 7, 2018 surrounded by her friends and family at Schuyler Hospital's Skilled Nursing Facility. Diana was born on September 1, 1971 in Elmira, NY to Sharon Evans (Homkes) and Lynn Evans. She attended high school in Horseheads, NY, class of 1989. Diana met her husband, Richard Clugstone, in 2000 and spent eighteen years of love and marriage, settled down in Schuyler County, NY. Diana enjoyed spending free time with her many friends and family and lighting up any room with her smile. She also enjoyed her occupation as store manager of Speedway in Elmira Heights very much. That is where she met a lot of her newer friends later on in life. Diana loved seeing the familiar faces of her regular customers daily. She said it always made the job worthwhile. Diana also took a tremendous amount of pride in her children and grandchildren. She loved every minute she could spend with her family. Diana was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in late 2017 where she began a long and hard journey with surgery and treatments. She never once lost her smile or her hope. In early 2018 Diana sought out impatient treatment with Schuyler Hospital's Skilled Nursing Facility when home life became too troublesome. On October 7, 2018 our beautiful Diana called a truce with her cancer. She traded a broken and burdened body for a brand new one. She's singing and dancing in the clouds watching over all of her many loved ones. Diana is survived by her loving husband, Richard Clugstone; her children, Zachary Arnold, Cassie Povero, Benjamin Arnold, and Caitlin Clugstone (Hatch); her parents, Lynn Evans and Sharon Evans (Homkes); her sister Samantha Evans (Morrell); seven grandchildren, and a never-ending supply of love. ---Till we meet again my dear mother, I'll carry you always--- A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at the Big Flats American Legion, 45 Olcott Road S. Big Flats, NY on Sunday, November 4, starting at 1:00pm. You may express condolences to the family or “Light a Candle of Remembrance” online at www.RoyceChedzoy.com. Arrangements entrusted to Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, Watkins Glen.
