Obituary for Mary Marcin

Mary M. Marcin
Age 97, of Watkins Glen, passed away peacefully at home on March 13, 2018.
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Royce-Chedzoy Funeral Home, 212 E. 4th St., Watkins Glen, on Tuesday (March 20th) from 6pm-8pm. A Mass celebrating her life will be held Wednesday at 11:00am at St. Mary’s of the Lake Church in Watkins Glen; followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas in 1981; parents, Frank and Catherine Macri; and four brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her children; Joseph (Sue) Marcin of Farmington, NY; Suzanne Klinga-Zoll (Michael Zoll) of New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada; and Nancy (Jonathan) Caslin of Walden, NY; four grandchildren, Nicholas Marcin, Joanne Gates, Rikki Marcin, and Lester Kolodziejski, and one great-granddaughter, Amanda Marcin.
Mary was born on April 8, 1920, in Watkins Glen and was a life-long resident. She worked as a tutor and aide for the Watkins Glen Central School District and later for the Schuyler County Chamber of Commerce, until she retired in 1998. She was a communicant of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church; the St. Mary's Guild; and Women of the Moose.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to “FOWL-Friends of Watkins Library”, c/o Watkins Glen Public Library, 610 S. Decatur St., Watkins Glen, NY 14891.
