Obituary for Richard Skinner

Richard Lynn Skinner, 74, of Ocala, FL passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017.

Richard was born in Penn Yan, NY to John and Catherine Skinner and grew up with his family in Watkins Glen, NY. He moved to Ocala in 2005 from the Elmira/Corning area. He was an accountant with Corning, Inc., serving as executive controller for over 30 years. He also volunteered as a fundraiser for the Cancer Society. Richard and his wife Frances were former owners of Park Avenue Bride and Groom in Elmira for 18 ½ years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Frances Skinner of Ocala, sisters Sandra Unterzuber, Carol Skinner, and Joyce “Jody” DeVay, and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great niece and nephew.

THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AT THE ROYCE-CHEDZOY FUNERAL HOME, 212 E. 4TH ST., WATKINS GLEN ON SATURDAY, APRIL 29TH, FROM 11AM-12PM; FOLLOWED BY A MEMORIAL SERVICE AT 12PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME; and interment at Glenwood Cemetery in Watkins Glen.
